Chief compliance officer – Education (Yeshivas) Brooklyn, NY 135 - 250k About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Compliance Director to lead the compliance efforts for a network of yeshivas and schools in Brooklyn. This role requires a highly detail-oriented individual with deep knowledge of education regulations, food program compliance, and government requirements. The Compliance Director will oversee inspections, ensure compliance with regulations regarding school programs, and manage key compliance functions such as background checks and the voucher program. Key Responsibilities: Compliance Oversight: Lead and manage compliance efforts across multiple schools (yeshivas) ensuring adherence to government regulations, safety standards, educational programs, and food program compliance. Regulatory Adherence: Ensure the schools comply with state and federal educational regulations , including background checks , student-to-teacher ratios , and per square footage guidelines . Food Program Compliance: Ensure that the food program complies with local, state, and federal regulations, maintaining high standards for food safety, nutritional value, and eligibility criteria. Government Compliance: Ensure the schools remain compliant with government requirements regarding classroom size , student-teacher ratios , and other operational standards. Leadership: Supervise and lead the compliance department , including a team of compliance staff and a voucher team . Voucher Program Oversight: Oversee and ensure the proper management of the voucher program , ensuring compliance with relevant state and federal regulations. Inspections & Audits: Manage internal and external inspections and audits, ensuring all documentation and procedures are in place for regulatory reviews. Reporting & Documentation: Regularly report on compliance metrics and maintain accurate documentation for government agencies and internal records. Training & Awareness: Develop training programs to ensure that all staff are well-versed in compliance regulations, particularly in relation to government requirements, food programs, and educational standards.
