We are seeking an experienced and forward thinking Controller, with a solid accounting background, to join the team.

The Auction Controller will oversee the financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all accounting processes related to UAX. You will be responsible for maintaining and reconciling financial records across multiple auction platforms and payment processors. This role requires a hands-on approach to managing bookkeeping and ensuring sound financial planning, reporting, and compliance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage overall accounting functions, including accounts payable and receivables.
  • Supervise sales transactions in accordance with company finance policies.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements.
  • Implement and maintain financial controls to safeguard company assets and reduce fraud.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable tax laws, industry regulations, and reporting requirements.
  • Assist with the preparation of documentation for external auditors.
  • Manage daily operations by delegating specific responsibilities to team members.
  • Provide guidance and support to office staff in their daily tasks.
  • Other duties as defined and assigned by the Manager.

  • 5+ years experience in an accounting setting with at least 3+ years in management required
  • Systems proficiency required, with experience using Microsoft Office (e.g. excel, word, outlook, etc.), G/L, and financial reporting systems
  • Impeccable analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Intercompany reconciliation experience
  • Previous cash handling experience
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • A high level of attention to detail


Education/Training/Experience:

  • Bachelor degree in Accounting required
  • Experience with account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, general ledger and financial statement preparation
  • Previous office management experience in automotive industry a plus
  • QuickBooks and ASI Software experience strongly preferred


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit for long periods of time, and walk/stand regularly
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and perform physical tasks (e.g., stooping, bending kneeling)
  • Ability to pass pre-employment screening
