The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is looking for a qualified Custodian to support our contract with Pacific Missile Range Facility (PMRF) in Kekaha, Hawai'i.
Under the general direction of the Supervisor or Lead-person, performs general custodial functions cleaning, shampooing, waxing floors and cleaning office areas, restrooms and work areas, including garbage collection and disposal.
DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs general, routine custodial duties, to include dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning restrooms, and restocking paper and soap supplies.
Able to operate custodial equipment vacuum, shampooer and floor stripper.
Able to perform high cleaning and waxing of floors.
Clean and stock restrooms and supply closets.
Daily sanitization of restrooms and common areas.
Knowledge of standard cleaning methods and procedures. Ability to stand, walk, and bend for long periods of time.
Time management; ability to meet work goals in a timely manner.
Attention to detail.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Environment:
Working in indoor and outdoor environment.
Physical Elements:
Must be able to lift and pull over 25-50 lbs,
walking, sitting, or standing for long periods of time
crawling
kneeling or cramped
work requiring repeated stooping
work requiring repeated or repeated or frequent stair climbing
customer contact and field assignment
REQUIREMED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
High School or equivalent
Must have ability to obtain appropriate State and Government licenses.
Must have valid Driver’s License and be able to drive to PMRF, Makaha Ridge and Port Allen sites.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Two (2) years’ experience in a direct or related field to the position.
Must demonstrate physical and mental capability to perform work.
Must be able to work on weekends.
Must be able to use the tools of the trade to include, floor finishers, shampoo machine and various types of vacuums.
REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE:
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Secret security clearance is required. (Applicants selected either must currently possess a Secret clearance or will be subject to a Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain clearance prior to commencement of employment and maintain a security clearance for access to classified information or Closed/Restricted Areas throughout duration of employment.)
