$180,000.00/yr - $220,000.00/yr

We're seeking an ambitious and dynamic individual to join our team as a Director of New Product and Innovation in the Food Manufacturing sector. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional with a background in food science to spearhead our new product development and innovation efforts. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping our product portfolio by developing and launching innovative food products that align with our brand, meet consumer demands, and comply with regulatory standards. This role requires a forward-thinking individual who can drive innovation, manage multiple projects, and lead a team in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the overall strategy for new product development and innovation, ensuring alignment with our brand values and business objectives.
  • Conduct comprehensive market research to identify new product opportunities and stay abreast of industry trends and consumer preferences.
  • Oversee the development of new products from ideation to launch, managing all aspects including formulation, testing, production, and packaging.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing, sales, and operations teams to ensure successful product launches.
  • Ensure all new products comply with relevant regulatory standards, including food safety and labeling requirements.
  • Foster a culture of innovation within the organization, encouraging creative thinking and continuous improvement.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of new products, making recommendations for improvements or discontinuations as necessary.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Nutrition, or a related field is required. Advanced degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in new product development and innovation within the food manufacturing industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully developing and launching new products.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food manufacturing processes, food safety regulations, and labeling requirements.
  • Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret market data and consumer insights to drive product innovation.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and effectively.
  • Creative thinker with a passion for food and innovation.
