Quality Technician at Keurig Dr Pepper summary:

The Quality Technician supports production operations by monitoring and ensuring that products meet strict quality and food safety specifications. They work collaboratively with manufacturing teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve quality issues while documenting data and improving processes using standard quality tools and systems like SAP. Their role also involves conducting inspections, liaising with suppliers, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives to maintain high product standards.

Quality Technician 

As a Quality Technician for Keurig Dr Pepper, you will be responsible for supporting Operations from a Quality perspective. You will work with Operations to identify, analyze and resolve quality problems. You will ensure that product meets specifications and that customer expectations are consistently being produced. You will be reporting regularly on quality issues, as well as supporting QA roles in problem identification and prevention. In this position you will promote and support Keurig Dr Peppers continuous improvement initiatives, supporting the Keurig Dr Pepper Coffee Operations in all aspects of Quality and the Company Purpose and Principles.

Shift & Schedule: This is a full time position on hybrid shift working our 12 hour shift schedule working on a 3-4 rotation . Flexibility to work overtime, weekends and holidays as scheduled is required. 

• Week 1: Thursday - Sunday, from 10 :00am-10:00pm  
• Week 2: Friday -Sunday, from from 10 :00am-10:00pm  

What you will do:

• Participate in the implementation of quality improvement initiatives to reduce process variation and prevent process and product nonconformities
• Document data and facts in clear and easy to understand formats in order to work issues most effectively
• Take initiative and responsibility for needed actions to support quality and business goals
• Ensure the rigorous application of standards and the compliance to specifications from a quality standpoint
• Help to define, develop, and maintain quality information records
• Assist in communications to suppliers from a quality standpoint, and for facilitation of processing of nonconforming material
• Use basic quality principles, tools, and continuous improvement initiatives; train others as you develop expertise
• Conduct a quality test/inspection plan (as appropriate for area(s) assigned) for periodic reporting and comparison to field data
• Participate in internal process and product audits
• Interface with internal and external quality partners
• Become knowledgeable in SAP transactions for the flow of work orders and material through WIP processes including Product and Qualification hold procedures
• Be involve with QA testing in one or more product or process areas, including all SKU’s or items produced within those processes
• Represent the customer perspective
• Use quality tools (and others) to troubleshoot, identify, and analyze problems to the true root cause level, and work with the appropriate teams to implement solutions and ensure the identified root cause problems are resolved

• Pay starting at $26.56   per hour. The employee will move to a higher rate of $27.89 per hour in the quarter after their 6-month anniversary.

• 1 year of Quality Assurance experience & HAACP background preferred
• 2 years experience in a production environment required OR related college degree 
• Coffee sensory process experience preferred 
• Manufacturing experience in the food industry desired
• Statistics and analytical experience desired
• Skilled in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Effective problem solving skills
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Food safety background/awareness (2+ years preferred)
• Quality Control/Assurance experience in mfg. (2+ yeas required)
• Preferred knowledge of applications such as ETQ (non-conformance reporting application), IQS/Proficient (testing application on mfg. floor), and SAP 
  
• Food safety experience preferred
