What You'll Do

Senior Field Service Technician starts there day at 5am , you'll be the go-to expert for our most complex and critical solar projects. Your days will be dynamic and challenging, blending hands-on technical work with leadership and innovation. You will:

• Become a Solar Sleuth: Diagnose and resolve intricate issues in commercial and utility-scale photovoltaic (PV) systems, including inverters, monitoring systems, and other balance-of-system components. No two days will be the same as you tackle everything from routine maintenance to emergency repairs.
• Lead the Charge: Serve as the lead technician on-site, providing guidance, mentorship, and on-the-job training to a dedicated team of field service technicians. Your expertise will elevate the entire team.
• Champion Safety and Quality: Uphold and enforce the highest safety standards (including OSHA and NFPA 70E protocols) and ensure that all work meets our rigorous quality benchmarks and industry best practices.
• Innovate and Improve: Proactively identify opportunities to enhance system performance, streamline maintenance processes, and contribute to the evolution of our technical operations.
• Be the Face of Sunup: Interface directly with clients, providing clear, professional communication and exceptional customer service that reflects our commitment to partnership.
• Document Your Victories: Maintain meticulous records of all service activities, creating detailed reports that inform our clients and our internal teams.

What You Bring to the Team:

• A deep-seated passion for renewable energy and a desire to make a tangible impact.
• A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in the solar industry, with a strong focus on commercial and/or utility-scale PV systems.
• Expert-level knowledge of PV system troubleshooting, maintenance, and commissioning.
• A proven track record of leadership and mentorship.
• Proficiency with a wide range of solar components and monitoring platforms.
• A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• An unwavering commitment to safety and quality.
• Bonus Points for: NABCEP PV Installation Professional or other relevant certifications.
• Experience with medium-voltage systems.
• A knack for creative problem-solving and a "can-do" attitude.
