Job Description

SiLC is looking for a full-time, on-site (in Monrovia, CA) Senior Manager to lead our skilled analog design team in building a revolutionary 4D sensing solution. This person should be intimately familiar with advanced analog design techniques and should feel comfortable with guiding the team in an extremely multidisciplinary and innovative environment that requires interaction with other teams including photonics, laser, mechanical/thermal, DSP, etc. In addition to analog design, the candidate should be proficient with RF and mixed-signal design.

Responsibilities:

• Leading a team of analog and mixed-signal design engineers
• Analyzing system requirements and translate them to circuit specifications
• Formulating circuit architectures to meet system requirements
• Leading analysis, design, simulation, implementation, review, and test of circuit boards and integrated circuits
• Managing/planning design/test activities to ensure high probability of success
• Participating in hiring activities to expand the team

Qualifications:

• PhD with 5+ years of experience or MSc with 8+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering
• Strong circuit design background in analog, RF, and mixed-signal blocks
• Experience with PCB and integrated circuit design
• Comfortable using a range of lab instruments such as signal generators, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, vector network analyzers, etc.
• Hands-on experience with debugging and fixing complex experimental setups and circuits
• Good communication and technical writing skills for documenting design specifications and test results

Preferred Qualification:

• Experience with designing photonic interface circuits (e.g. TIAs), low-noise laser drivers, and other optoelectronic hardware
• Familiarity with digital design and embedded systems
• Familiarity with programming languages such as MATLAB, Python, C, etc.
• Background in lidar or FMCW radar

Compensation and Benefits:

• Base salary: $150,000 to $180,000, depending on experience and qualifications
