Knowledge Requirements:

• Experience with software integration or testing, including analyzing and implementing test plans and scripts.
• Experience with frequent scripting language use, such as Python and R and using packages commonly used in data science applications or advanced analytics
• Experience with data science, data mining, statistics, or graph algorithms to support analytics objectives.
• Experience applying Structured Query Language (SQL), Non-Structured Query Language (NoSQL), Application Program Interface (API) Building, Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) pipelines, Web Application Servers, or Search Index.
• Experience using programming languages and products such as Python, Jupyter Notebook, Pandas, Numpy, Requests, or Antigravity.
• Experience applying complex mathematical and statistical concepts.
• Experience applying statistical and operations research methods and tools.
• Experience employing spreadsheets for data manipulation and visualization.
• Apply data mining, data modeling, natural language processing, and machine learning to extract and analyze information from large structured and unstructured datasets.
• Visualize, interpret, and report data findings.
• Create dynamic data reports, Dashboards, graphics, and visualizations.
• Subject matter expert in Microsoft Power Automate, Power BI, and SharePoint
• Apply Human Systems Integration (HSI) experience and principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test or evaluate Digital Engineering policy, standards, guides, templates, etc.

Years of Industry Experience: 3+ years of relevant experience

Security Clearance Requirement: Must be able to obtain and maintain Active DoD SECRET Clearance

Let's talk salary.  The annual salary range for this position starts at $90,000+ based on your qualifications. We also offer a competitive benefits package and have fringe benefits offered throughout the year. The benefits package value ranges from $13,000 for a single employee, and up to $28,000 for an employee and their family. With company standard annual performance reviews in place, plus excellence awards for recognition, your performance will be rewarded and appreciated, we promise!

Due to the classification level of the projects we support, we are not able to offer fully remote opportunities at this time. As a Defense Contractor, we are frequently working with sensitive material, and therefore, we need to ensure where you access your work is secure.

You will have a shiny desk at our G2 Ops office, plus the opportunity to work at a military site directly with our customers (this is a good thing!). We do allow teleworking and condensed work schedules with prior approval, but supporting the DoD, you will be required to work at a military site as well.

This exciting position provides the opportunity to work on advanced data analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence techniques to support the U.S. Navy's mission by enhancing operational decision-making and developing innovative solutions for complex technical challenges. This role involves analyzing large datasets, creating predictive models, and working closely with cross-functional teams to improve systems and processes in areas such as cybersecurity, logistics, communications, and mission operations.

• What does this mean to you? We are seeking expertise in data science in the following areas:
  •   Data Analysis : Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can drive operational improvements and inform decision-making across various NAVWAR initiatives.
  • Machine Learning & AI : Design, implement, and optimize machine learning algorithms and artificial intelligence models to solve operational and strategic challenges.
  • Model Development : Develop predictive models and algorithms that support mission-critical systems, with an emphasis on automation, forecasting, and anomaly detection.

Lastly, as we are working for the DoD, we are beholden to some requirements. The ideal candidate would already possess an active   DoD SECRET clearance and cloud or security certifications.
